Step 1

Print and cut out the elephant patterns. Colour them in or use them as a template to cut the patterns out of grey card.

Step 2

Glue the grey card around the can and cut off any edges that stick out.

Step 3

Coil the pipe cleaner around a thick marker pen. Remove the marker pen and then press the coil down to make the elephant’s leg. Make the rest of the elephant’s legs the same way. Glue the legs on the elephant’s body.

Step 4

Glue the elephant’s head on one end of the can, and its bottom on the other end to make the body. Glue the ears onto the body, just behind the head.

Step 5

Glue the eyes. Take a small piece of pipe cleaner to make the elephant’s tail and glue it to the back of the elephant’s body. Finally, thread some beads onto a piece of pipe cleaner to make the elephant’s trunk and glue it onto the head.
